how would I go about converting a gp300 motorcycle headset to work on a gm300? If I get the headset and cut off the plug and cut the mic from a gm300 mic cable then join the headset to the gm300 mic plug wire, I'm not sure of the which way round the wires go yet but would this work due to the ohms bit being different, any help is most grateful and very much appreciated
thanks lance

The earphones will work, they connect to a unused pin on the mic jack so you have to make a cable. Pins 8 and 4
The microphone will require a amplifier as the portable, GP300, uses a much lower level. Mic Hi pin 5 pin4 Gnd
. PTT pin 6
look here for the Mic jack pinout. http://batlabs.com/images/gm300mic.gif
Email me for further we have lots of diagrams here.

No.
You have to make up a cable that has the additional wires and circuit. Send me your email and I can send a diagram.
