MCS2000 Model III DTMF

Post by salty »

Would I be able to use the numerical keypad on the MCS2000 Model III control head to key up DTMF tones to get into an IRLP node even if I don't have a DTMF microphone?

Thanks.

What radios do you own?: Spectra, Maxtracs, MT2k, GP300

Yes. Make sure "Hot Keypad" is enabled in Tx Options in the personality window. Hold PTT and dial your digits. If you want to hear the DTMF when you transmit, enable DTMF Sidetone in Dialing in the Phone Configuration window.
