gp300 select 5 problem

I all newbie here,i am trying to program my gp300 5t vhf radio and am using r02.04.00 software.The model no is p93ypc29c2aa.
I can read radio ect but when i go to program the new freqs into radio i get error message saying CANNOT CHANGE PERSONALITY BECAUSE NO SERIAL NO ENTERED.Is this my radio or my software that is causing this. Any help would be great to solve my problem.

I do know that the GP300 five tone signaling radios take a different RSS. I think Europe RSS.

You are using the latest RSS for the GP300-5t.The RSS is correctfor your radio type!
I never had this before,but you should look in the RSS for a field to enter the serial number.
A replace board come with a blanked serial number.Someone may changed the board.
Another way is to run the GP300Lab edit tool (GPUT-5t.exe) and set the serial number in hex code.
