I am trying to program a series 1 MCS2000. When I program the radio the transmitter will no longer key up. This has happened to two MCS2000 radios that transmitted fine before I changed the program in them. I have been completely through the program and I have not been able to find any problem with the programming. Anyone have any idea of what is wrong?
Thanks,
John

Comment one, the MCS2000 is a very touchy radio to programming voltages. I have 2 different original Motorola RIB boxes and my radio only likes the newer box. Have tried a Polaris RIB and the radio doesn't like it either.
Comment two, is that the new channels you put into the transmitter are far enough away from where the original ones were that the VCO doesn't like it.
Comment three, is that you fat fingered the TX channels and they are not valid. I seem to do it myself now and then.
I am not aware of any leaky cap issues with this radio like the Spectra has had.
Go back and read the radio, check the frequencies you think you put in. If they are correct, check the VCO for a good lock in TX.
Let us know how you made out.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
