Correct Vocon board needed for XTS 3000 VHF radio

Post by noid1037 »

I have a XTS 3000 model number H09KDH9PW7BN. I have a bad vocon board and need a new one, which model is the specific one needed? Looking online it looks like the NTN8250 F or G or H is needed? What is the difference between the three? Is there a different vocon board model number I should consider? Once I get this taken care, I will need a codeplug correct?

Thanks

The XTS3000 does not have a vocon. It has a vocoder board and a controller board. The vocoder is the small square board under the keypad. The controller is the L-shaped board which the flex cable plugs into.

How do you know your "vocon" is bad? What types of problems are you having?
