I would like to see subforums based on members locations such as US, Canada and Australia created so members can locate each other better and discuss more relevant information regarding systems and equipment available in their countries. Anyone else support this idea?
+ 1 for an Australian subforum.
Anyone want subforums based on members location ???

That would be very "RadioReference"-ish IMO.
However, I DO agree that we need more of an open forum (I remember when we DID have an open forum, and it kinda went south). Or at least one where we could organize meets, (maybe even a once per month "Batlabs West / East" meet, etc.). I've been trying to get a hold of us New England guys for a meet for a LONG time (I'm still pissed I missed that Manchester, CT meet like 3 years ago lol) , but it's difficult without being able to post a thread about where to meet lol

I never check PM's so don't bother, just email me.
I won't reply to a hotmail, gmail, aol or any other generic free address, if you want me to reply use a real address.
STOP ASKING ME FOR SOFTWARE OR FIRMWARE, I JUST FORWARD ALL OF THE REQUESTS TO THE MODERATORS

True, but filling in your account details more doesn't give members a place to discuss systems and equipment specific to their location. Would be a great way to get members who live near each other interacting more and meeting up with each other.HLA wrote:location is kinda already done if you finish filling it out in your account
My 2 cents anyway

As stated, thats kinda covered over at radioreference.comsheldon wrote:True, but filling in your account details more doesn't give members a place to discuss systems and equipment specific to their location. As far as Motorola systems go, there really isn't anything different with a CN or AUS SmartZone 4.1 system than US 4.1 system, etc.
What has happened in the past, if someone wants to ask a question about a forgien (to US) radio, by all means ask the questions...
I can bring up the topic with the staff for you though.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
