Intermittent in P25 mode

Post by HowardSmall »

One of my T99DX+144W has gone intermittent when transmitting in ASTRO mode but is fine in Analogue mode. In both modes it is putting out 20W RF. I thought it may be an issue with some corruption with the NAC on the xmit side and put the receiving set on to F7E which made no difference.

So, guessing, it could be that the vocoder is intermittent and thus there is carrier but not digital info.

It is definitely the tx rig that is causing the problem as there are no issues using some handhelds with the rx rig.

Any suggestions on cause and solutions would be great.

Thanks

Howard

It could also be the alignment is wrong, so the digital signal is corrupted. That's where you need to look at the modulation fidelity to see if it is corrupted.
This is my opinion, not Aeroflex's.
