Question about XTVA XTS 3000/5000
I am thinking about getting a surplus XTVA for my 3000/5000 radios, but I have a question or 2. I would want to use my XTS3000 UHF no display radio with this setup. NTN8560 cradle, & PLN7737 HHCH. Since the radio has no display, what would the display in the HHCH show. CH 1, CH 2, etc, or would it be blank? Also, would the ch up/dn button work using the no display radio? Thanks for any help. Hi Gary,
The XTVA with full display mic will have a blank display if the radio is a XTS3000 Model I or XTS5000 Model I. Other than the display everything else works, Mode, Volume, and 3 side buttons, but no keypad. I use a XTS5000 Model I with channel announcement and it works great. I think if you change channels a lot it may get confusing with no feedback.

Re: Question about XTVA XTS 3000/5000
Thanks for the help. The 3000 in question has the latest f/w. Since I'm used to using an AS3, & a Jedi in convertacoms w/o a display, it would not be a big deal to have no display. I just wanted the up/down channel buttons to work. GARY N4KVE
