CDM1250's With Different Model Numbers

Post by jchabalie »

My fire company has 2 UHF CDM1250's with different model numbers (AAM25SKD9PW2AN and M25SKD9AA2A). Is there any way to program these with the same codeplug, or will I need to write the programming for each radio since they have different model numbers?

You can try cloning them, but the chances are the software will barf it out.

You could start up 2 copies of the software at the same time and do a click and drag from one to the other. You will probably have to clean up the zone info with the personalities and then if your using scan, you will have to clean up the scan info.

Unless you have a ton of frequencies, your almost better off just hand typing in all the information from scratch.

The professional series CPS has never been capable of 'drag and drop' operation...it's the biggest shortcoming of it. Manual typing it has to be.

As long as the question is on the table, can anyone tell us what the PW means in the model number of the OP's radio: AAM25SKD9PW2AN? I don't find it in any charts that I have or can locate on the net. Thanks
