Post by kt2728 »

We are about to put up a new 220 ham repeater in our area and i am needing a few mobiles. i have never had a 220 motorola so i need to be schooled on them. from what i have read some of them will work and some of them wont. my big question is which ones will work and what version of software do i need use if i acquire a radio or two?

Take a look here: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=90958 I have yet to see one that didn't work in the ham band after performing that mod.

I after reading that thread, it seems that the cdm wont do anything but 12.5khz channnels and narrow bandwidth or is there a hack for that too?

Narrowband so far has not been an issue. They talk fine on wideband repeaters and receive wideband FM without clipping.
