I have a UHF maratrac installed in my truck. It is wired the way Motorola wants with the big red to battery, and the one control head wire to same source as big red, and other to a keyed source. I also have the jumper removed in the head for ignition sense.
Here's where it gets strange. Sometimes, not all the time though, with the key shut off, and the control head apparently shut off, I still receive signals. I heard a buddy of mine talking the other night on my radio, but my truck was shut off. Any ideas?

Re: Maratrac receive
The power switch in the control head merely sends a ground down to the radio drawer. This activates a transistor that turns on a small DPDT relay on the front interconnect board. The relay supplies Switched B+ to the rest of the radio. It could be sticking, thus leaving the radio turned on.
