I am doing a sport event shortly and the requirement is for stable comms on a motor bike.
I have used throat mics before on a portable, but now they want to use a mobile radio in the panier bag with an external antenna.
Is it possible to wire up a throat mic designed for a GP300 (ie the 2 prong plug) to connect to the 16 pin accessories connector or a combination of that and the front RJ45 mic socket ?
I have had a quick glance at the Gp300 speaker mic schematic on batlabs and it shows the PTT appears to be triggered just by completely the MIC + into the circuit. Obviously on a GM338 I need a seperate PTT line shorted to ground to get it to transmit.
My throat mics have an inline PTT switch.
Any help appreciated
Thanks in advance
Mike

Mike,
I sent you a diagram for an adapter to use GP300 two prong headset on a GM mobile radio. It has the PTT circuit.
