Motorola M1225 Mic Pinout

Post by kb0vwg »

Hello

I have just purchased 2 m1225 radios I need to rewire mics, I was wondering what the color coordination needs to be for the modular plug.? Is it green/red/black/blue or different than what I have. The yellow and white wires were cut.
Thanks
Michael

Hello :
Im assuming your refering to the 8 pin modular end that plugs into the radio and not the 6 pin plug end for the mike.
For the 8 pin modular plug end contacts up and the contact ends facing you which would put the snap lock on the bottom side it would be left to right .
1st slot empty / 2nd slot empty /3rd slot blue / 4th slot black / 5th slot red / 6th slot green / 7th slot yellow / 8th slot white .
This is for motorolas hand mike .
Good luck

The M1225 has the same pinout as the Maxtrac/Radius mobile radios and uses the same mics.

Ok I have one other question, What type of Modular connector does the m1225 take, I thought I was set in wiring up the radios this evening and only found one rj45 connector that fit and Thats when i remembered there are different sizes.
The connector I am talking about is the one to the radio.
Thanks
Michael
