GR1225 and I20R controller

Post by Jay »

I have a GR1225 that i want to retrofit with an I20R controller. The I20R was pulled in working condition from a GR300 repeater. Obviously, I need a different cable to interface I20R with the 1225 and will have to make some programming changes to both devices. My questions are:

1. Does anyone have the part # (or pinout) of the I20R to GR1225 cable?
2. Does anyone know what programming changes need to be made to the GR1225 and I20R to make this work successfully? The I20R manual really does not cover this situation, and I don't have a GR1225 manual.

Thanks in advance,
Jay

What you need is the pinouts for the R1225 radio that is used in the GR1225.

Some of the info is in the GR1225 manual too.

One question, what does the I20R do that you need on the GR1225? Then I can look up the pinouts needed.

The I20R is a multi PL controller. Yes, I believe that the GR1225 manual spells out this exact situation, I just don't have the manual. Thanks for any additional details.
