Hello All,
I have an MTX 9000 and was hoping someone could help me figure out something. I am wanting to use it with the MTVA and an external antenna. My radio was a B5 converted to a B7 programming wise but it seems I am missing the RF switch components and whatever else to get the RF to the MTVA holder's RF out connector. I could just buy an antenna adapter but of course I would like to "upgrade" the radio to do this natively. Anyone done anything like this before? I found these parts below for the MTS 2000 but not sure if this would even work if I did get these parts below and tried to install them myself....... Maybe not even worth the trouble but looking for any ideas.
42 - 0705856V01 Bracket, RF Switch
43 - 1505520V01 Housing, RF Switch
44 - 4105266V01 Spring, RF Switch
45 - 4405524V01 Piston, RF Switch
46 - 8405523V01 Circuit Board, RF Switch
Thanks!
Ed

Re: MTX 9000 RF Switch and external antenna contacts?
MTS2000 antenna switch parts are the same and will work but I hope you have better skills than I did putting that confounded thing together. Don't forget to remove the bypass jumper in the board before you start installing the switch parts. Good Luck, glad its you and not me doing it.

I'm pretty sure your list is complete but its been too long to remember for sure. I've got the manual around here somewhere; give me a little time to find it and confirm that that's all and I'll post here if there's more.
