APX Scanning Issue

Post by rc50won »

V/U APX 7000
Host R06.05.05 DSP R06.05.05 SECURE R01.01.02
Flash 9S42P8-011692-5

No matter what Zone I select to scan, all I am scanning is in whats in Zone 1.

I have the following Personalities setup with channels (options) appearing under the correct Personality.
CP1 ASTRO MM
CP2 ANALOG
CPS ASTRO ONLY
CP5 RX ONLY
In each Personality, Under Features, you have to set the Scan List. All are set to Scan List 1. Of course I am thinking that since this works with the ASTRO25 radios it should work here. Apparently it doesn't.

Does this mean that I have to create dedicated Personalities per Zone? Also for the channels that need to appear in more than one Zone, do I need to create a copy of them in each Zone specific Personality?

Thanks for your help!

Mine will scan across zones and systems no problem. Have Astro25, 4.X, conventional P25 and analog in 1 scan list but it's predictably slow. The list I use the most has a 4.x system with digital T/G on 800 and P25 and analog on UHF. I stopped updating F/W at 4.00 for host/DSP and the last CPS I used was 5.00 so maybe something going on there?? My flash is 901418-001482-1

Marshall,

Did you try to view the scan list via the display?
I scan across the first 3 zones in mine, with both analog & P25, and have no issues.
But, as you know, I have seperate personalities set up for each channel assignment so mine is programmed different than yours.

I made a personality for all the analog channels in zone 7 and that makes the scan for zone 7 work properly.

I thought the one personality per channel setup was only an ASTRO25 FPP thing but I guess not.
