GM1200E won't turn on fault

GM1200E won't turn on fault

Hi All

I have at least 8 x GM1200E with what appears to be the same fault. No turn-on, nothing on display, no tones. Looking at the uP reset line TP with a scope I can see regular pulses at about 50 mS. The service manual has this as being shorted address lines in the uP , RAM, ROM, etc but at 20 mS rate.

Has anyone else seen this fault please?

I'm hoping it is not hardware and can be fixed with flashing the firmware. If so I need the flash software, firmware and how to please?

Having so many fail the same way seems unusual so any thoughts, comments, etc would be appreciated.

You need a modified RIB or Unirib and the proper flashcable!
