MCS2000 CPS

Post by Motradio »

Have programmed a UHF type III head high power radio with R02.02.00 for the MCS radio. Now want to move over the programming to a UHF type III LOW power radio. Import/Export doesn't seem to work and a note in the help says only it supports phone lists. Exports creates all the data, but not sure how to get the modes back into the next radio. Is it possible, or do I need to keep typing them in for each one?

I did try to load the same plug from the high power radio to the low power but it's smart enough to not let me. (I did write down a bunch of soft pot setting just in case it worked.)

Thoughts?

Thanks

Doesn't MCS support drag-and-drop? Open two copies of the software and drag the items from the tree into the new codeplug?

I will give that a try, but given the overall operations of the windows software would be stretch for the people that wrote it ;)

Will give it a try.

Thanks

Seemed to work!

Trick was to do Modes/Personalities first, then Zones, Scans, etc.

Thanks much for the tip!

that's the ticket, always system keys (if applicable), personalities, then zone/channels, then scan lists, then call/page lists and anything else like phone lists.
this is pretty much the "procedure" for drag and drop in all CPS iterations.

Doesn't a top level drag and drop work to transfer it all?
