CT150 and CP150

Post by eagle844 »

We have some CT150's, CP150, and a Desktrac repeater.

I have looking around to find out if they can be programmed to go into the 70cm HAM band.

Can these radios and repeater do 440mhz? I have been advised that these radio will not, but other MOTO's will.

Any info would be great.

Thanks so much.

I think it depends on what bandsplit CT's and CP's you have.

I have a CT150 (at least I think that's what it is) on 70cm. The DeskTrac should make it to 70cm as well, though you may need to do the manual power control modification to it to get the PA to behave.

The CP150 I can't vouch for.

Google the extended model # off the back of the radios, should find a bandsplit. The CP150 was most common in 438-470 (assuming you have a UHF radio) which covers what you seek.
