Motorola XTS3K CPS Question

Post by SoCalRescue »

Hi All,

So I have an old xts3000 code plug with everything I need on it from my old radio. Now I have a new radio with the same model number but a different feature set. How can I either write this codeplug in the new radio or copy all the data into a new code plug? Any ideas?

Open two instances of the CPS - one with the old saved codeplug, one with the actual "read" radio codeplug. Top level (top of the hierarchical tree) drag the saved codeplug tree over to the CPS session with the "read" radio codeplug open and it'll replace everything (provided you have a sufficient flashcode to support required options). It'll complain about what it couldn't do at the end of the transfer. Be patient, it can take a while. Some things (menu options, etc) won't transfer. Those must be done manually.

Enjoy!
