I put this in the Astro Forum originally, but realized it probably should go here...........................
So can you really not move scan lists and personalities up or down, or insert a new one where you want it?
They are always added to the end? I see that you can reorder Zones by putting in the position number and it will reorder them accordingly.
I know you can copy and paste rows and do the "Fill Down/Up" thing, but the XTS CPS lets you do inserts at least.
It's just an organizational thing and I know you won't be able to tell from the radio user's perspective, but this seems like a pain.
Am I missing something?
Thanks.
APX CPS Move or Insert?

Re: APX CPS Move or Insert?
I would like to know this as well - I'm trying to consolidate a second trunking personality for the main system I listen to so that it's right under the first one.
Every time I attempt to do this by way of copy & paste, the trunking personalities loose all of their listed talkgroups. I am basically trying to move 6 other personalities down one spot. I even set those 6 new ones that were added as the new home for what was about to be pasted at 'Type-II', thinking the default assignment of 'ASTRO25' was messing them up, but no joy...

Re: APX CPS Move or Insert?
Has anyone ever figured this out, or am I a total tard or does this functionality not exist within APX CPS 7?
Any info would be helpful.

Re: APX CPS Move or Insert?
As far as I know, there's no way to reorder systems, personalities, scan lists, etc. The things that you *need* to reorder (zones and channels, as they are presented to the user in the order shown in software) can be done by changing the position number. Technically, there's no *need* to reorder personalities/systems/scan lists/etc.
That said, I prefer them in alphabetical order... and there's just no way to do that, short of rebuilding the entire codeplug every time.
Moto, are you listening? We're not talking about rocket science here...
