m1225 Repeater

Post by fire_marshal_bill_1075 »

Hello all,

I have all the fixin's to make a repeater out of a pair of m1225's. Here'e the problem. I have the radio's frequncies programmed no problem. I have the dip switches in the RICK programmed for uni-directional. I used pin 8 for the PL/DPL/CSQ detect. When I enable the RICK, the COR light comes on and the TX radio keys up and stays keyed. No matter what I try I can't get it to quit. Both radios are receiving ok. When the TX radio keys up my portable shows it's receiving a signal but won't unmute. All the freq's and TPLs are the same.

Anyone have any suggestions. TIA

OK, I've made some progress. I have pin 8 on the RX radio set for PL/DPL/CSQ, output, active LOW. On the TX I have pin 8 set to NULL, output, active LOW. It's repeating but the portable is still not unmuting. The frequencies are all correct. What the H*** am I missing???
