CDM1250 Firmware Question

CDM1250 Firmware Question

I have a CDM1250 VHF radio. The current firmware in the radio is 04.01.00. I'm not very knowledgeable about firmware, but would there be any benefit to upgrading the firmware? What would be some pros/cons? Thank you in advance!

upgrading the firmware will fix old glitches and sometimes even adds new options when used with the newest cps

Thanks HLA. Do you happen to know what the most current firmware is? Just curious as to how outdated mine is.

I don't have it in front of me but I think the cdm's were up around 5.13.??

I'm in Pennsylvania, about 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh.

That would be nice if someone is able to. Our local radio shop where we do the initial purchase of our radio equipment is not always the best to work with. They tend to make you feel like you are bothering them and treat you as if you don't know what you are talking about.
