I picked up a SVA recently - no mic/speaker/power cord. Have a couple of questions....
1. The power cord I know uses a 4 pin Molex (Disk Drive Type) so no problem there. I will be using it at the present time in a desktop environment, so I will want the lights/charging function active all the time. Am I correct in assuming that the GRN/YEL/RED should all go to my +12VDC supply?
2. I have several hand/desk mics that I have used with MaxTracs/GM300 radios. In looking at parts numbers, I would assume that these will work (at least the hand mics should). Is this correct?
3. As to the speaker, I don't have the 12w one with the DB-25 connector on it. Would a "standard" Moto speaker (6w type) work? Of course I would attach the proper connector.
TNX!

Re: SVA Question
Hi Dennis,
I can't speak for your speaker dilemma, but I can tell you the standard GM300/MaxTrac type microphone will work with the SVA just fine.

Re: SVA Question
1 yes
2 yes
3 No. The SVA audio section does not have enough to power the speaker on its own. best bet is to look here on Ebay for the correct speaker.

Re: SVA Question
Usually they wind up separate, as a 12W amplified 4" speaker with a DB25 on the end.
