Manual and O'Scope for R1200A Service Monitor

Post by VinnieL59 »

Looking for a service manual and would also like to have an oscilloscope module for my old R1200A Service Monitor.

Does anyone have a scanned CD manual?

I have a similar unit with a bad case of essence of ohmite.

Google schematics for your test unit. I was able to find them for mine, and I determined that the pass element for the -15v regulator shorted, and took out a bunch of stuff, including the scope sweep module. On first generation transistorized equipment, there was often no over-voltage protection on the voltage regulators. When a pass element shorted, it would wipe out a lot of other circuits.

Good luck!

Thanks Pierre,

I've Googled until my Googler is about to fall off with no luck.

I am just wondering if anyone would have any idea what the Systron-Donner model number would be for a Motorola R1200A?

Thanks! I appreciate it. I thought that was what it was, but the Motorola Model # R1200A threw me.

My service monitor is a 1327A. Try Googling that. I have a scanned PDF file of the SM. Send me your e-mail address in a PM, and I can send you the file if you want it... About 6.6 MB.

I'd love to have a replacement scope for it myself, or at least the PS module that mounted on the cathode end of the CRT.

The 1327's and the 1200 look similar and use the same plugins, but they are not the same - they are very different internally.
