CDM1250 Adapter To CM 300
I'm wondering how to make an adapter for a Motorola CDM1250 programming cable to CM 300 programming cable i have been told that people have been able to make this work but i haven't seen how to do it. If any one has a how to video or a diagram or even well typed how to list will be much appreciated.

I posted the answer to your question over on radioreference last night.AKANathan69 wrote:I'm wondering how to make an adapter for a Motorola CDM1250 programming cable to CM 300 programming cable i have been told that people have been able to make this work but i haven't seen how to do it. FWIW, using the search function, I found the answer myself several months ago here on the batboard. The original answer was posted here back in 2004: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... 00#p178123

FWIW the schematic calls for a 1k ohm resistor across those pins. I've found that using too small a gauge of wire (like 24 gauge) doesn't provide the resistance needed.

thank you very much
Re: CDM1250 Adapter To CM 300
to all user: the only different between cdm and cm300 program cable is a jumper between pin 1 and pin 3 on the rj45 connector. since you can't set 2 cables in the rj45 connector, open the db25 connector and finf the two wires that goes to position 1 and 3 in rj45 and sldered together, and the most important thing is that the cable works for both radio cm or cdm. the adater is not need it anymore.

no resistor needed but the pins that get jumped is confusing to some, motorola is backwards from the rest of the world so some say 1&3 get jumped, others say 6&8 get jumped
