MT1500 Broken antenna connector

Post by beemare »

Hi all,

I just received a shipment of 4 used MT1500 radios. As I do with all radios received, I inspected the radios for damage. Unfortunately, all 4 of them had the antenna connectors broken away from the board.

I spoke with the seller and he will be refunding all of my $$ including return shipping to him. So no worries there.

Out of curiosity though, seeing as these are uniboard and the antenna is board mounted (MT1500/XTS1500/2500) has anyone ever depoted one of these for the same issue?? And if so, what was the cost?

Thanks.

I fix those on an almost daily basis, no need to spend 300+ to fix it. About an hour & the cost of the part.
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
