Motorola NTN8560E XTVA: There is something missed or no?

Post by MotoFAN »

Hi all!

I get NTN8560E XTVA, but not sure that all parts are included:

Image

1. I didn't see mounting bracket. It's normally or not? I have noticed here some additional accessory P/N NTN8940 (Trunnion) marked as required. This is the same that mounting bracket?

2. I didn't see key (to lock and lock out radio). This is option or just missed?

And maybe something else?

Purchased at eBay. Nothing in the envelope :(

Anybody knows P/Ns of mounting bracket & key?

And what is the "NTN8940 Trunnion (Required)"?

I was not aware the xtva kit came with a mounting bracket. When did this start? I sold 15 of them a month ago and they did not include the bracket

You are correct - they do not come with a bracket(or trunion as moto calls them).

For MotoFan's benefit below are the kits as we order them for a complete install.

Motorola XTVA/RFPA Kits

Kit# NTN8560F Holder Unit

NKN6516A Cable Kit(includes holder to rf amp rf cable)

NTN8940B Trunion Kit

PLN7737B Hand Held Control Head Kit(Mic)

HSN1006A Amplified Speaker
HKN6455A Speaker Interconnect Cable

NLE4267A UHF RF Power Amp

Oh - and the keys are in that little brown pouch in the plastic bag.

There is no part number on that little brown key pouch but the plastic bag has
"Kit# 0105956V41" and "Description: Hardware Kit" on it.

The Keys have "MOT-2" imprinted on them.

Hope that helps

Thank you, but MOL returned 0 records for 0105956V41.

Mistype or not available for end users?

It must be part of "Kit# NTN8560F Holder Unit" and not available via MOL
unless there is another way to order it.

Per Motorola, the part number for the key is 5586156A02. However that's been canceled and subbed over to 5586156A01, which is the entire lock assembly plus the key. As it stands, if you need the key, Motorola says it's about $55 since you have to buy the lock as well. I am hoping they can make the key by itself orderable, but why sell a $3 key when you can sell a $55 lock? Meh.

External speaker was an option, not part of the basic kit.
