How does one use the win7 calculator to convert hex to dec

Post by Jim202 »

Trying to use the Windows 7 calculator to convert the hex number to decimal or the other way around. In the Windows XP version, it was easy. You just put the calculator into the scientific mode and click on the hex or the dec selection depending on which way you wanted to go.

I use this frequently in some of the trunking programming of the Motorola radios. Now that my computer has the crap Windows 7 on it, I have to learn how to walk all over again. Anyone have a simple answer?

Select programmer under the view tab. It gives you the option on the left to select between dec and hex. What ever mode you want have it in that, then selecting the other converts it over.
