astro spectra plus mobile narrow question

Post by turtle9832 »

Astro Spectra Plus T04KLH9SW3AN

25 of the above listed models are available to me in VHF for my agency from a federal agency.

I have looked at posts here and researched elsewhere.

I am not sure if it is going to work for me for narrow compliance.

Position number seven in the model number is 9. 9 means, "variable/programmable." in the channel spacing accoring to the manual that I read.

Can someone tell me what, "variable/programmable." means?

Thanks in advance

Yes those are narrowband compliant and will do the splinter channels. They are in essence Astro25 radios, like a W series XTL5000 just not wideband.

If it still has the label on the back, it will even say "2.5 Khz" on it.
