Systems Saber top 3 orange buttons don't work

Post by saberjerk »

Hello
I have a systems saber H44TUK5170CN and I just noticed that the top 3 orange buttons don't seem to do anything.
Is this something I can turn on and off via the rss or is something cooked?
would be nice to change zones and light etc.
thanks

Either the flex is bad or not seated right. Take the case off and check the flex were it goes into the main board.

I did already check that flex connection. I might have to buz it out and make sure. I always try for the easy fix first ;-)

It's interesting all the buttons on the keypad beep or do something except those top 3 that are completely dead.

Now that might be a clue. Row or column out. I'll take a closer look.

You are right. It was a bad keypad.

Not sure if it was the flex or the very fragile circuit printing on the back of the pad

I just replaced the whole keypad. Man those are difficult to peel off and replace without damaging them.

And I verified that regular saber keypads work on systems sabers.

Thanks
