CM-200 pin outs

Post by Tron »

Are the pin outs and functions for the 16 pin accy plug on the CM-200 the same as the M-120/GM-300?

Can you use the regular Mot RIB box that was used on the M-120, etc with a new GTF cable from the serial port of a computer?. Does the CM-200 program run under Windows?

Thanks

1. Not quite. No speaker jumper needed. Google is your friend: http://www.callmc.com/customer_service/ ... 0guide.pdf -- go to page 6-5.

2. Yes, the Mot RIB can be used.

3. Very well, even under Win 7

Note that the programming cable for the CM200 is not quite the same as for the Maxtracs. The schematic has been posted here several times.

Thanks for the input. Have 2 more questions.

These are being used with an MDC system of sorts. Can Pin 8 be programmed to the COR function and Pin 6 for Rx Audio mute? If not, are some of those other programmable pins available for these functions. Hopefully I won't have to rewire their interface cables, but its doable if I have to.

Currently we're using GM-300's and modified M-120s ( pin 6 ) and it works well.

Pin 6 will do RX audio mute.

What are you defining COR function to be? I don't see that as a choice for Pin 8, but there is no COR listed for Pin 8 on the GM300 either.

I have both software packages here.

I'm looking at the M-120 book right now. The HLN8074E logic bd shows a COR output on Pin 8 ( probably active low ). Maybe it can be programmed for something else too, but that's what it is being used for.

If any others pins can be used for said functions, I can work with that.

Again, what is COR? I see it on the M120 pin outs, but on the GM300 it is called COS. It is not listed as a choice for any pin on the CM200 or the GM300. I suspect it may be called something else.

Here are the choices for Pin 8 on the CM's:
CH 1 SEL
CH 2 SEL
CH 3 SEL
CH 4 SEL
CLEAR TO SEND
CSQ DETECT
DATA PTT
DATA REVERT
EMERGENCY IN
EXT MIC PTT
MIC OFF HOOK
OPTION BOARDS 1 THRU 4 IN OR OUT
PA SWITCH
PL/CSQ/TALKGROUP DETECT
REQ TO SEND
RX AUDIO MUTE
TOC DISABLE
TX PL INHIBIT
UNASSIGNED

COR = Carrier Operated Relay, probably the same as COS.

I think the CSQ would be the same thing or the PL/CSQ/Talkgroup detect may work too.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know.

I think CSQ detect will be the equivalent to COR.

The programming choices for Pin 8 of the M120 are:

NULL 2
EXTERNAL ALARM
PL/DPL/CSQ DETECT
CSQ DETECT
CLEAR TO SEND
NULL1
EMERGENCY SW
TX PL INHIBIT
TOC DISABLE
TX AUDIO MUTE
RX AUDIO MUTE
SPECIAL OFF HOOK

What are not listed on the M120, but listed on the CM's:
DATA PTT
DATA REVERT
EXT MIC PTT
OPTION BOARDS 1 THRU 4 IN OR OUT
PA SWITCH
