Astro Systems 9000 Siren

Does anyone know if it possible to use the Astro Systems 9000 siren with the systems 9000 DEK as control stand alone? I have plenty of these working with the A9 head attached to an XTL5000, however I am looking to use the siren/PA with just the DEK box and no radio attached. Alternatively is there any way to make it work with the XTL 5000 with an 05 head or 03 head?

You can NOT use it by itself. It must be hooked up to a spectra, astro spectra or XTL2500/5000. It can be used with an O5 and O3 control head. For the O5 you have to get the control head to dek cable and use the dek siren box. For the O3 you use a special siren cable that has a dek connector coming right out of the siren box end of the cable. It must be a HLN1439 series siren for this to work. Be advised that in the O3 setup the horn ringe/siren transfer will not work.
