UN-Remote mounting a Maxtrac
I have a low band Maxtrac that I turned back into a regular mount. The problem is now I have no audio from the front speaker. Is there a simple way OTHER THAN using an external speaker to get sound back?

Hook up the internal speaker. There is a place to plug it in on the command board back towards the accy connector. If you don't see it, open up another dash mount. It will be obvious.
If you have a 16 pin accy model, you may have to insert the spkr jumper on the accy plug too. If I recall, they are 15 & 16.

If the OP doesn't have the plastic connector for the 16 pin accessory port, a Berg jumper off a PC mother board will do the trick.Bill_G wrote:If you have a 16 pin accy model, you may have to insert the spkr jumper on the accy plug too. If I recall, they are 15 & 16.

I knew I was forgetting something! It couldn't have been as simple as plugging the speaker wires back together. I have a few pre made 16 pin connectors with the jumper in already. Thanks for the refresher. Been a while since I played with one if these.

If you want to get rid of the remote kit, send me a PM.
