I have read on multiple forums that the Motorola Maratrac can DECODE MDC-1200 (Stat Alert), but I can not see how. I have multiple Maratracs (Low band) and they transmit their ID with no issues, but when we transmit with another radio it doesn't display the ID being received. I checked the RSS and have not found anything where I can activate the decode feature. Do I have to make a list of the other radios IDs in order for it to work? Thanks in advance.

The short answer is: "probably". The MaraTrac, like the MaxTrac, only has a 2-digit display so you probably have to enter the individual MDC codes and assign some kind of ID code to be displayed on the control head in order for it to work.

With the Maxtrac you have to make a call list for it to be displayed otherwise it just displays 00. In other words you need to know the ID of the radio you want to decode first.
