CDM1250 PROGRAM ERROR

Post by Troyfire801 »

While programming CDM1250 mobiles, I attempted to read one of our mobiles and received error "4-1379 Invalid Regional Code for this CPS version. "Use a CPS version which supports the region of the source radio."

I am using CPS version R06.12.02 Supported Regions AA. Out of 0ver 100 CDM1250's in the fleet this one radio has the issue.

Anyone familar with the error or the issue and how to fix it?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

have you been able to program that radio with that cps in the past? what's the last couple letters of the model number? that error is for a wrong region code, you could alter the registry so your cps accepts all regions but if it's a AA radio and AA cps altering the registry is just putting a bandaid on the problem, you need to find the actual problem

I never check PM's so don't bother, just email me.
I won't reply to a hotmail, gmail, aol or any other generic free address, if you want me to reply use a real address.
STOP ASKING ME FOR SOFTWARE OR FIRMWARE, I JUST FORWARD ALL OF THE REQUESTS TO THE MODERATORS

The error messages in Pro Series CPS are basically useless now. I'd say there's a decent chance the radio has been hit with a higher version of CPS and it's too dumb to display the proper error message (or at least the generic "Device not supported by this application") but in any event, like HLA said, you can modify your registry to fool the CPS into thinking the region code is proper.

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
