I am trying to upgrade firmware in a pair of XTS3000's using a completely OEM setup (SRIB, cables, USB flashkey).
When I start the upgrade it gets to bootstrapping the radio, asks me to turn the radio off and on, click ok, then it errors out and says it could not bootstrap the radio check all cables.
I did a continuity check on the cables and it was all good.
The same setup reads and writes fine to both radios.
I popped open the RIB end of the RIB-to-radio cable and it looks like it has been repaired (came from eBay so yea..) but it matches the Batlabs pinout.
Is there another jumper or connection to the RIB that should be present to put the radio in bootstrap mode?

Re: XTS3000 Will Not Bootstrap - Cable Issue?
It is normal for the CPS to tell you to turn the radio off and then back on. Turn it off for a few seconds then back on and the display should be blank if I recall correctly.
If you cable ohms out correctly then I would suspect a bad SRIB.

What pinout chart did you compare it to? I only see the home brew cable diagram on the batlabs site. The OEM cable does have extra(s) for bootstrapping.

Pull the battery to put the radio in bootstrap, don't bother with the volume pot
Re: XTS3000 Will Not Bootstrap - Cable Issue?
Did the OP get this fixed/working? Im having the same problem with the boot strapping. Even tried pulling the battery like suggested and nothing.
