Converting HT-1250 limited keypad to full DTMF

Hey

Is it possible to purchase the appropriate replacement parts so I can 'upgrade' my HT-1250 from a limited keypad to a full DTMF kaypad??

Sure all you need is the full keypad housing and keypad. The limited keypad radios use the same keyboard as the full keypad models. And Motorola was kind enough to turn hot keypad on by default for personalities created for limited keypad radios. The only drawback is that you can't disable hot keypad but I'm sure it's worth the tradeoff

believe it or not, if you take your limited keypad housing off and look closely inside, the keypad is under there in the housing but no holes in the housing to get to them

LOL! Thats funny....I will check that out when I get home from work....I actually have a full keypad front cover for a VHF model....

Tnx for the info guys....I thought it was pretty easy to do...
