Busted Systems Saber LCD

Post by vhacmowilmob »

I have a UHF systems saber that got dropped (which is why they gave it to me)

Everything works fine except the LCD:

Does anyone know of a way to fix this thing, or am I going to have to replace the whole front shield (does anyone have a front shield for a Securenet Systems Saber?)

Hard to tell from the pic, and I'm far from an expert, but the LCD itself doesn't looked busted/cracked. I assume you checked for loose flexes/connections internally?

Barring that, start looking for an SVA or Astro SVA.

I haven't messed with one that deep. I always got lucky -- other things were messed, display is fine.

I would also try reseating the internal flex connections and looking for tears in the flexes themselves. Definitely looks more like you lost a connection than the LCD itself being broken.
