Good Afternoon Fellow Batlabers
As these radios are no longer supported by Motorola, do I have any options available to me to upgrade my radios to
Host: R7.71.07
DSP: 08.03.05
I currently have R5.60.00 and N6.05.02 installed in the radios.
The guy I purchased these from rightly or wrongly (probably wrongly but don't smack me for it) gave me a CD with the CVN files for the upgrade as a part of the deal.
To the best of my knowledge I need access to the following to get the job done
- Valid refresh iButton with remaining flashes;
- CPS R05.03.00;
- Motorola SmartRIB (SRIB) with power supply;
- Genuine Jedi-series Flash/Programming cable.
I have the a legit licenced CPS R05.03.00, I have the genuine Cable, I don't have a smartrib nor an iButton
Firstly, am I correct in what I have versus all that I need to do the job ?
Secondly, is there anyone out there (preferably in Australia only due to shipping costs of 6 radios) or anyone else globally that can do this Host/DSP upgrade or am I stuck with what I have for ever and a day given that Motorola don't support these anymore?
Thank you in advance
Michael

The Refresh iButton is universal across all the lines Astro lines and the MTS/MCS. So if you purchase a refresh flashkit for an Astro25 radio, it will contain a USB dongle that will work just fine on the XTS3K. The SmartRIB is the most expensive item, so yes you will need to find someone with one to complete the project.
