Astro Spectra Information?

Post by BWilliams »

I recently picked up a a high power Astro Spectra drawer (model T04KLF9PW4AN) that's currently in the mail to me. It was sold by the seller with no information on it's history and no accessories.

If I'm reading the Astro article on here correctly, there's no way to find out the proper head from the model number, correct? Therefore, can the radio be read without a head connected to see what head the codeplug is set up for, or is there some other way to determine the correct config?

The 4 after the W means it a w4 head,[the head with rotor knobs for chan and off on volume].

Oh, gotcha, thanks. That didn't click with me since the Astro page calls it "feature set" vs. "control type" on the regular Spectra article. Appreciate the response.

W4 AKA Rotary Control head.
