Spectra Mic - plug locking tab broken off - will it stay in?

I recently acquired a HMN1052A microphone for a Spectra...although I do not yet own a Spectra!!!

Unfortunately, the "inner locking tab" is missing the top third of the tab. The "outer tab" is OK.

Will the mic stay in place with just the outer locking tab?

My experience has been it'll stay just fine. It's a pretty tight fit to begin with and you have at least one tab still there that'll hold.

Make sure you use the small metal hook and attach it to a screw head or something to help the mic plug from pulling out of the port.
