Converting Astro Spectra to Motorcycle radio

Post by emtprt »

I have a Motorcycle version Astro Spectra that was converted to an A7 Dashmount radio. I need to convert the radio back to a Motorcycle remote head radio. I know that I will need the control cable, Waterproof Mic and speaker. Do I need to change the Display/head I know the mic for the motorcycle kit connects in the back but is there a cap for the connector or a board change and which adapter are needed for the deck and the back of the control head.

I have found a source for the mic, speaker and cable.
The radio will be placed in a Polaris Ranger

You will need the interconnect board and front housing for the radio, and the Motorcycle control head housing also.

You could use the standard cable and control head housing if the installation will not be subject to heavy rain. The motorcycle housing for the control head has extra seals.
