BPR40 Navy Case

Were the BPR40 radios always navy in color or is that a recent change by Motorola? I noticed the replacement case parts all say NAVY in the description and new radios purchased within the last 4 months have been a very dark navy color. The batteries, top controls, and belt clip are still black...

I seem to recall that "NAVY" was the internal platform name for the BPR40's (much like jedi for the HT1000 series).

After some research on MOL, it appears Motorola offers most of their replacement parts (ie: housing, battery latch, side PTT, escutcheon, etc.) in both BLK and NAVY varieties. Tells me that there are two types of BPR40 radios floating around or they are being newly produced in Navy color...
