Programming an Analog Spectra A4

Post by Jack »

I've programmed this radio many times but now that my old 8088 computer is dead, I can't find anything slow enough to program my A4 Analog VHF Spectra. What is the slowest I can use? I have everything else I need but the computer and I cannot for the life of me find something slow enough to even read the radio much less push a codeplug into this thing. Any help would be appreciated, and if you have an old computer PLEASE let me know!!!

What version of the RSS are you using. The later RSS for Spectra will run on faster computers up into the Pentium class.

BUT you HAVE TO run the RSS in DOS.

Spectra & Spectra-E RVN-4001N Jul-93 Yes Pentium rated.
