GP340 will not fully turn off.

Post by radioanorak »

Hi

I have a GP340 am repairing here.
When switched off, i get an intermittent tone with the green LED flashing.
I changed suspect transistors Q417, and Q400, and now both LED's are flshing alternately, with the flash tool reporting a radio hardware issue now.
The radio tanapa is PMUE1440A.
I have much experience as a radiocomms engineer, and am trawling through the service manual, and am trying to nail this fault down, as i have seen it many times.
Has anybody seen this before please..

Many thanks.

BTW, hello to all.

Nice looking Forum :D

Could be a FLASHROM or EEPROM error!
Before you change something, try to fix it with the EU Waris Lab Upgradekit.

Hi Andreas.

Wish it was simple as that :-)
There is a regulator short somewhere.
When I eventually find it, ill post it up here.

Thanks..
