What are the chances of an Astro Spectra that does NOT have the 2.5K in the label doing the 12.5K splinter channels? I'm pretty sure my answers are down to two, one being slim, and the second being none.
Thanks for any inco you can give me.
Bill.

none, yet, just preplanning for down the road. However, my radio in question will accept frequencies such as 155.XXXX, so I am good to goWill wrote:What is the frequency of interest?

Pull the bottom cover off the radio and then the shield above the RF board and see if it is HRN6014C or later. It is possible it has been replaced.

All Astro Spectras will handle 12.5 kHz-spaced channels. The 2.5 RF board is needed for 6.25 and 7.5 kHz-spaced channels on VHF.
