Can anyone repair HT1000 microphonics noise?
I currently have two RDC 3DN model HT100's that are in pretty much mint condition except for the usual microphonics noise you hear as they get older. Can anyone do this repair for me? I know motorola doesn't sell the repair kit anymore but I saw a few things on here about using solder and some krepton tape. If anyone can fix these for me at a reasonable price I would definitely be willing to pay.

I've had some "success" (if you can call it that) by creating the solder bridge between the proper shields on the rf board however IIRC I don't think it ever made the problem completely go away, just typically lessened it for a bit with it eventually creeping back. Annoying isn't it?

Also a complete disassembly, clean shield, board ground lands, and frame with a pencil eraser and contact cleaner, and then some Stabilent 22 on the connecting grounds does quite a bit to quiet microphonics. Any shop tech should be able to clean one up for you.
Lots and lots of watts...

JUST LOOP THE shield with some copper braid desoldering wick.. typical grounding problems with these radios..
