I have a spectra installed in almost every truck : Military : we use in are out fit. however the mics are collecting 65 - 80 % back ground noise. basically the radios must have a noise cancelling mic. SO my questions are 1 IF i have maxtrac mics that are black with a little light in the face " is this a noise cancelling mic " there are no tags on the mics at all. if so would i have a problem swapping mics on to spectra cables from the maxtrac rj45. , if there a way to id a mic if there are no labels on the mic ?
I'm open to buying a few mics if i could find some .
Thanks again

Re: noise cancelling microphone cable swap
No, the black one is a GM300 mic. They work well but are NOT noise canceling.
The Spectra and Maxtrac mics, like most Moto mobile mics since the '50's, have an amplifier in them.
The amplifier is not the hard part, just getting it in the N/C mic and getting the right output IS.
