Using 3.03 sw and keep getting "incompatible codeplug version" I programmed 3 other radios of the same batch and model number with no problem.

TIA

Update

So I figured that if I brick it, it is old and not worth much so let's roll the dice!

I read a good radio, and then went to clone mode. I started the clone with the good radio and after the compatibility read, I quickly moved the cable to the bad radio when it switched to write mode. The write worked and both radios check out just fine.

Yup, had done that as well but you don't need to quickly move the cable after the compability read. Just read an identical model radio, make any changes and attach your target radio and do a clone. The compability read will not bong as longs as it's the right band radio, works across the A-B-C-D revisions no problem. Radio must have had a codeplug error as I believe R03.03 was the latest offered before cancellation.
